Emotional regulation starts with us. Regulate, Connect, Create! is an experiential workshop designed for educators, therapists, and school staff looking to build more connected, responsive, and creative spaces for regulation. Drawing from polyvagal theory, expressive arts therapies, and transformative learning practices, participants will explore in-the-moment strategies to support emotional regulation that starts with the adult. This session centers presence over perfection and equips participants with tools to meet big feelings with calm, curiosity, and care for both themselves and their students.

This workshop introduces the foundations of the neurodiversity movement and explores the power of identify-first and affirming language. Participants will gain practical strategies to foster authentic connection, support regulation, and create inclusive learning environments where all students feel seen, respected, and valued. Grounded in current research and real-world examples, this session is designed for school staff ready to move beyond awareness and into meaningful, everyday action.

Selective Mutism can be deeply misunderstood in school settings, often mistaken for defiance or shyness. This interactive workshop offers educators, school clinicians, and support staff a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to supporting students who struggle to speak in certain environments. Participants will gain practical tools and compassionate strategies to build trust, reduce anxiety, and create brave spaces where communication can emerge at a student’s own pace. Walk away with a deeper understanding of the condition, collaborative planning ideas, and a “toolbox” of techniques to help students find their voice—literally and figuratively.
